Scholarships

Rotary Club "Mihajlo Pupin" of Pančevo announces a scholarship competition for outstanding pupils for the 2025/2026 school year.

One scholarship is awarded to a pupil enrolled in the third or fourth year of a four-year secondary school in the 2025/2026 school year.

Total value of the scholarship: 90,000 dinars. The scholarship carries no obligation of repayment, is approved for one school year and is paid in six equal monthly instalments of 15,000 dinars (January–June 2026).

1. Conditions

Eligible candidates are outstanding pupils in the third or fourth year of secondary school who fulfil the obligations set out in their school's statute in good time. Beyond compulsory school activities, the candidate achieves success at national and/or international competitions, placing in the top three.

2. Basic eligibility

• Residence in the Municipality of Pančevo
• Citizenship of the Republic of Serbia
• Enrolled in the third or fourth year of a four-year secondary school
• A minimum grade average of 4.00 over the previous two school years (2023/2024 and 2024/2025)
• Has not received a state or municipal scholarship between 1 September and 1 November 2025

3. Selection criteria

Academic record — performance over the previous two years of schooling.

Competition results — awards won over the previous two years at international and/or national competitions.

• Only individual competitions and individual achievements are considered
• The diploma must clearly state the pupil's name, the level of competition, the field and the date
• Group and team competitions are not scored
• National competitions must appear in the official calendar of the Ministry of Education
• Sporting achievements and acting are not considered

Social circumstances — scored on the basis of the parents'/guardians' status and average income.

4. How to apply

Application period: 8–22 November 2025.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit supporting documentation. Candidates not contacted by 25 November 2025 have not been shortlisted.

Shortlisted candidates submit documentation on 25 November 2025 between 6 PM and 8 PM at the Regional Centre for Talented Pupils "Mihajlo Pupin – Pančevo", Dimitrija Tucovića 2, Pančevo:

• Certificate of citizenship of the Republic of Serbia
• Proof of residence in the Municipality of Pančevo
• Confirmation of enrolment from the secondary school
• Copies of the last two years' school reports with an average of no less than 4.00
• Copies of diplomas from national and/or international competitions (originals for inspection)
• Certified proof of parents'/guardians' income for July, August and September 2025

Documentation is delivered by a parent/guardian or by an adult candidate with photo identification. Candidates with incomplete documentation will be disqualified. Documentation is not returned.

5. The decision

The decision is made by a Committee appointed by the Board of Rotary Club "Mihajlo Pupin" on the basis of internal scoring criteria. Where two or more candidates score equally, the Committee decides, with a transparent explanation.

The Committee's decision is final — no appeal is possible.

Should falsified documentation be discovered, the parent/guardian is obliged to return the full amount paid.

6. Obligations of the recipient

1. The recipient's name will be published at www.rotarypapupin.org once the competition closes

2. The recipient joins the Alumni programme of Rotary Club "Mihajlo Pupin"

3. The parent/guardian must provide bank account details by 15 December 2025

4. Funds must be used for the candidate's education

5. The recipient may be invited to attend official club events
