Our club

Rotary Club "Mihajlo Pupin" Pančevo is a beacon of humanity and professional ethics in the South Banat region, operating under the umbrella of Rotary International.

Recognition for the two years of work by the founding group from Pančevo came on 30 June 2008. In the presence of representatives from almost every club in our district, Rotary Club Pančevo – Mihajlo Pupin was admitted to Rotary International. Milan Orlić was elected first president and formally received the Charter at the ceremony on 18 October 2008.

Since then, the club's members — respected business and professional leaders of Pančevo — have been committed to the ideal of service above self, following the high moral and ethical standards Rotary promotes.

The four avenues of service

Club service

Through regular meetings every Thursday at 8 PM, the admission of new members and their inaugural addresses, occasional lectures, annual assemblies, charter ceremonies and gatherings with families and guests.

Vocational service

Every Rotarian uses their membership to promote their profession and to preserve and raise professional and moral standards. We place our knowledge and experience at the disposal of fellow Rotarians and of the wider community.

Community service

Probably the most important form of our work. All our projects take place in the local community, with its direct or indirect participation. Particular emphasis falls on those most in need: children, the elderly, people with disabilities and the socially vulnerable.

International service

A source of constant inspiration, a mechanism for exchanging ideas and a way of funding the most ambitious projects. Through international service, clubs meet and twin with one another. We have established contact with the "Auckland" club in Australia and twinned with "Caransebeș" in Romania.
