Handover of office for 2014/2015

At the regular meeting on Thursday 19 June 2014 we carried out the formal handover of office.

Under Rotary’s rules the club leadership changes every year, and the new Rotary year traditionally begins in June. The president for 2013/2014, Svetlana Stojković, presented her report on the year and gave certificates of thanks to her team, then handed the badge to the incoming president for 2014/2015 — Nenad Orlić.

The occasion was also used for the formal presentation of the Paul Harris Fellow recognition to Nebojša Prekić.

What the club did in 2013/2014

• July — the first joint project of the Pančevo clubs: welcoming the second Rotary regatta and guests from Romania
• August — the club’s 300th meeting
• September — a screening of the film about Mihajlo Pupin, and equipping the children’s holiday home at Divčibare by hand
• October — a talk on project management in the public sector by Radomir Kosojević
• November — five years of the charter, with 14 clubs from Serbia and guests from Romania; the blood donation drive
• December — the annual assembly and „Greeting cards for a happier childhood“, with proceeds going to the „Mara Mandić“ school and the „Spomenak“ home
• January — a talk by Dejan Čikara on the fundamentals of Rotary
• February — twinning with the club from Caransebeș and a four-day stay in Romania
• March — a talk by Aleksandra Ninković Tašić, „Pupin and his struggle for Serbia“, and the renovation of the „Bubamara“ nursery
• April — the joint „Pazim kako gazim“ project with RC Veliko Gradište
• May — collecting aid for those affected by the floods
