„Glogonj 2015“ — a visit to children learning Romanian

Together with our twin club Rotary Club Caransebeș from Romania, we organised a visit to children who learn and speak Romanian in Glogonj.
Our hosts prepared a warm welcome with an engaging cultural programme, and the guests from Romania handed out gifts to the children. Further cooperation with the local community was agreed, along with active support for preserving its cultural identity.
Why this way
The idea is to use the national and cultural richness of this region as an engine for stronger international ties. What is a border to some is, to us, a reason to meet.
As we say in Rotary: „For the advancement of international understanding and goodwill."
